Just totted up and I've got 3337.5mi.

I reckon about half that is commuting. I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to this (seems I may not be alone) and record my weekly mileage from my bike computer in a spreadsheet I've got it broken down by bike, but I use some bikes for commuting and leisure, and road and off-road.

I don't upload everything to Strava, but this is from what I did:

Probably would have hauled myself out for another 4,000 odd if I'd seen that last week Strava under-reads anyway

(I also don't understand what the "Eddington Ride" is on there. Sounds like a place, but I've never heard of it. At 23mi, it's not my longest ride or anything.)

I like to round off the year by plotting all my GPS tracks on one map to see where I've been, but this includes walking as well. Insets are New England and New Zealand.

Edington number is the number of rides of that length you have done. So 23 rides of at least 23 miles.

My overall (what's on Strava anyway) Imperial Eddington is 101...but I've just looked at the individual years and found that for 2016, 2015, 2014, 2011 and 2010 I had an imperial Eddinton of the same value 38. Perhaps that shows my riding hasn't changed much in the last few years?

Not bad for a year that included a hernia op, a dreadful reaction to new prescription, and getting my mouth smashed up by a taxi.

Dug into my numbers a bit more yesterday. Turns out since I've got back from the Tour Divide (4th July) I've only covered 1,200km! And only 30% of that on bike. Which would explain a lot really.

So 10,00km in six months, that's ok.
