Joined the party... broke a couple of ribs, smashed up my (other) elbow, badly bruised my hip and tore a couple of muscles in my back after a (stupid) crash at Bikepark Wales on Thursday.
Missed an event on Sunday because of it and will be borderline for one I have planned next weekend too.
Really struggling to sleep as there's basically no way to position myself that doesn't cause pain. Trying to get back up from laying down is incredibly painful too.

Guy in front of me crashed, I went around him... was thinking about how he crashed, then the next thing I know I was going sideways through the air, and then getting all tangled up with my bike.
No obstacles of note, I think I just clipped the front wheel on the edge of the trail and BAM.

Oh no sorry to hear that! what is going on?!
I'm almost getting to the point of wondering if i'll ever be 100% again, I went for a walk with the kids yesterday and nearly got admitted to hospital again today as my hand symptoms got worse!
it's almost too surreal it's comical and to hard to take in - which is good as I think I'd be depressed by now.
Can everyone else just stay fit and healthy - so we can have stories to read and pictures to look at

Although Richard's sounds more self inflicted!

I've already got the nickname of Mr Glass from all the lifting injuries I get. :(

Other than the lack of sleep I'm doing quite well thanks.
Back at work but on light duties which is good as theres nothing heavy at this stage in the build.
So far, I seem to have coped better than you with regards to not riding my bike. Although I can't see it being long before I start getting tetchy.

I think I'd take it better if I had actually had an injury that hurt and needed me to rest it to heal. I don't really feel that much different than before but I had the mri, an I have just been told not to ride with no indication of when I can do it again :(
I know I should just count myself lucky that I haven't had anything more serious given the state of my neck - but I still miss my bike :)

I've now joined AW, off the bike (until Jan)

Frustration is creeping in!
I do however have some time to give my bike some maintenance - all those jobs that are not urgent but need doing sometime
