Stuart, I think you've got the Northings and Eastings mixed up.

Well spotted that man ;) ... I've struck it from the list now but obviously people can still use it. I'm pretty sure there's enough to be going on with.

I wondered when that one would appear.

Here's what it should look like. ;)

That's not how to do the YMCA dance.

Word of caution, the hairpin at the bottom of that hill on the way back to Dinas Mawddwy is sharp and slippy.

It's gone a bit quiet since the grid references came out

Who's going for the lot then?

Had planned on going for the full set this year, just need to work out doable it'll be and how much fun.....hadn't planned on ther being 26 GR's though

Is it just me or is OSM mapping useless for most of these grid references?
I've got the OS map out which shows a multitute of different tracks leading to and from a point. Put the waypoint into my garmin with osm mapping and it's like i've plucked a point in the middle of nowhere.

I noticed this one too Ian; put them on Memory Map last night and this one sticks out as a 'challenge'

Fire lit, toast in, coffee pot on, let's begin.

It's nice up at SJ 075341 but a bit of a struggle to get up to it mind :) Been ages since I rode around there. It's part of the Wayfarer Loop - big day out.

Is that all the GR's Ian?

All except one actually (SH 893105). I could include it and add about 6 km to the route (mostly road), but I've tried to plot things such that I have no out-and-back sections, so I pass through each checkpoint and on to the next one so it forms a proper loop. This one just didn't fit with the proposed course.

Edit: it also includes the rogue GR, which pistonbroke correctly identified as having the eastings and northings the wrong way around... SH 797250

Not so much willy waving as the shock/realisation at how long a ride it'll be to get (nearly) all the checkpoints...

I should have known better ;) ... I really didn't think anyone would consider trying to complete the lot, a viable proposition.

I still haven't finished plotting the reference points yet. Started doing it on Viewranger but realised the OSM mapping was useless so then downloaded OS mapping and realised the POIS are saved on the map tile so back to square 1.....
Think i'll be doing a north-western loop but nothing like Ian's mileage. Gonna be lazy days for me with plenty of stops and larking about.
