There's two I know from that list plus a guess at one. Then there's "Richard G" and "Duncan L" of this parish - I'm "Bob W" BTW. Looking at last year's list there appear to be just five who weren't traumatised enough to do it again.

Anyone else care to align their forum name with their name on that list?

My wife did inform me this week that it's our wedding anniversary on Saturday - hadn't forgotten, honest!

Anyway, next to last place is still a finish - which is more than I manged last time!

Chris Hope did an ITT of this last Saturday and got round in 19hrs 56mins knocking over 8 hours off the previous best.
Something to aim for this weekend.

That's a bit quick! Then again his times for the Lakes 200 and the Woodcock C2C aren't exactly slow either

Yikes! (or for Scooby Doo fans - Zoiks!) I took that long for last year's YD200 route

Stuart's Achilles is recovering slowly and I haven't yet ridden more than an hour in one ride since finishing the HT. But it's a great event and looking there could be a good scrap. Good luck to all.

I'm looking at survival only - if I can get round in reasonable shape by sunday eve I'll be more than happy. Plus using it as an opportunity to go Bivi bag only as its only one night.... Forecast now looking cool and showery - hey ho

Not quite going bivy bag only - add PHD down vest, Klymit X-frame sleeping mat, long sleeved thermal and thermal shorts. The total in a Wildcat tapered dry bag weighs 990g! I suppose the sleeping mat is a bit of a luxury It's been really warm overnight round here recently - current BBC forecast is for a minimum of 12C for Saturday night.

Htrider: last year I got round in just under 35hrs but when I looked at my Strava data some ten hours of that wasn't moving. There are a lot of gates so some of that time will have been dealing with those but I had an hour's wait for a meal at a pub on Sat evening and breakfast at Feizor took an hour but some of that was drying out time There were less than five hours at the bivy.

Hmm... have appear to have smushed up my knees squatting weights that were probably a bit much for me (should have worked back in slower post injury).

Definitely wont be setting any records with my pace this weekend now.

It's been a long time since I was this excited / nervous before an event

Last year most of us bivvied somewhere between the top of Cam High Road and the climb over Great Wold/Whernside and were back by 6pm on the Sunday. This year there's a bit more distance to get to that area but I'd suggest it's a reasonable target to get to, CHR is at 180Km and the start of the Great Wold climb is roughly 190Km. With a reasonable start Sunday AM you should get either Feizor or Malham around the time the cafes open for breakfast

I was just looking and my emails say that the final route would be emailed 5 days before the event... but I don't have any more up to date email with a route in it.

Is there one?
