I'd be in assuming I'm free, flat ground, beer, meat and bogs would be fine.

Erm, in case I've missed something no one's mentioned a couple of porta-loos ? :geek:

Well wasn't an early name for this going to be "sh**ing in the woods-stock" ?

Sadly I cant confirm anything 6 months in advance, but I have hopes and it could be the perfect excuse to venture up north.
Would getting a lift closer to the area count aslong as my gear is packed on a bike?

Will be hauling myself around the Mille Pennines the first weekend in July. Sure we can find a tussock or two to join you in spirit (or maybe Tunnocks as we nip over the border...!)

I'd like to put some faces to names. Either weekend is good, I'd prefer beer/food first, music I'm not bothered about.

What's the location?
Bear Bones Towers in greenest mid-Wales.
What are the toilet/washing arrangements?
Toilets we can do but washing ... that's just silly talk

Early July is clear so far, unless the missus is planning something.

Hot food sounds good to me. I can live without live music, though would enjoy some random bikepacker player a guitar that he/she has taken along. Surely there are a few musicians out there.

Bugger. Still not in the UK when for the new proposed date.

Some cider please for those that don't drink beer :-bd A flagon of something Welsh would be nice.

Is the party likely to be suitable for children aged 5?

Either date fine by me, not sure if I'll do the YD300 or not.

I thought you said the camping would be flat? There's barely an inch of flat ground at your place :???:

Bearbonesnorm wrote:1/ Would you consider attending on July 2nd / 3rd? There is a stipulation that you MUST arrive by bike. NO dropping stuff off before and NO cars allowed. However, there's no stipulation about where you ride from. You could make a proper trip out of it and ride from home or park 5 miles away.
I'd love to be there, but unfortunately I'm going to somewhere around Austria on the touring bike around then! Have a blast (I know I will be), and I can hope for the next one.

I was thinking the very same, that car park field is at one hell of a slope

There's a tiny bit just by the stream. The tussock racing decides who gets it.

Either date should be good for me. Stu, if you're interested in sorting a 'local ale' let me know, a guy I work with runs a microbrewery near Conwy.

Nothing planned so far for either of the proposed dates.

Hot food and beer sounds good to me.

I'm in unless a family commitment rears it's head between now and then.

We'll be centred around the yard / house ... big (almost) flat field in front of the house.

I've got a battery powered pressure washer if people get smelly.

I play the piano, however I can see logistical issues with this.

I'd love to make it this (as adding beer to bikepacking is all that was ever missing) but I'll not be over anytime around those dates.

I'll likely be both biking and defining beer during that weekend though so I'll be there in spirit!
