Consider me educated. I assumed that the brown bag actually had pre-ground in it.

I'll stick to my sachets. :ugeek:

I grew up in Vancouver. We left in 2006, before the hipsters and coffee/bike scene became prevalent.
The roads they took to the first camp- flat to rolling. I think a bit too much time was spent doing BMX tricks the first day

Most logging roads only get used on week days. If you go riding on those roads on the weekend, no big trucks, just folks out with Jeeps and Land Rovers.

Can't imagine riding with those packs and slugging whisky all day.

I liked it - well shot, good idea, nice bikes in nice places.

The hipstering aside, it's what most of us do anyway. Just different.

Can't quite see what the fuss is about in terms of overall content, aside from them riding a piffling distance each day on bikes that must surely be good for two or three times that distance, but hey, I guess that's what happens when you muck about with filming ;)

There's no way hiperty hipsters like that would drink pre-ground coffee. :ugeek:

Oh, they are so much fun to take the piss out of.

That said I do have a porlex hand grinder. It was a bargain though. And in my defence I use it at work to reduce my coffee consumption. If you have to grind the beans first it all takes longer...

God. I have beard too.

And a single speed bike.

Not a fixie though

And my beard is trimmed.

It's never seen any wax

And my hair is cut. Not styled.

So I'm ok I think. Not one of them...

Plus I'm with you on the sachets of instant for light weight trips :-bd

I didn't think it was that shocking!

A hint of irony in it, but still made me want to get out on my bike

I'm a bit miffed....

When the two blokes got into the hot springs with the girl, I thought "brilliant, but this is the longest build up story at the start of a porn film EVER,"

Then they just sat there a bit, bobbing......

Why did the girl have to be at the back all the time?

So much for hipster bikepacking equality

Hipster? In 1990, seems so recent but it's 25 years ago, I arrived back from a stint in Australia. Totally skint, I got on my bike and went dispatch riding (in London). London is fairly flat and having raced track, it soon became obvious what was required was a fixed wheel. I wasn't the first, that honour goes to Dick, an Aussie bloke who worked for a video place in Soho. He was definitely cool. Never wore socks, even in winter, had a mohawk and wore a cap if it was chilly. I was number 2.

Where I scored points over Dick was my courier bag. Everyone had flouro orange plastic bags with something like Guardian written across the bag. Another courier, Buffalo Bill (I never did know his real name) went to San Fransisco on holiday and came back with six Timbuktu bags, one of which I bought. So, I'm riding round London all day, on a fixed wheel bike, with a Timbuktu bag. I even grew a goatee.

Sadly, the fitness has long gone but I still have the Timbuktu and the goatee.

The girl was in the middle once.
Honest to goodness, I went to bed last night with my side splitting. It's the suitcases on their backs that made me choke on my cheese. The All Black Trio looked pretty fit, surprised they were so tired after 40 miles. I believe the video was meant to inspire and show the fun element. As for the cheese, that was genius.

Llama cheese Stuart? Are you in the artisan cheese making business?
