I like charge spoons as well but I find about 6-7 hours is my limit on it before it shreds my ass. I used to swear by brooks leather seats but now I swear at them - they mold to your shape but for me this leaves a high centre ridge which causes me considerable pain.....

Have you tried one if these Stu? I bought the hideous pink one (titanium rails and a leather top, for a 10er!) and I dyed it black with leather dye, it looks really good and its very comfy
Charge knife, which was pretty good on road bike, bought from a PSA on here as I recall... Ridden upto 8 hours on that.
A Vertu saddle which is a plastic mesh with zero padding, Bought off SlowupSlowdown for a tenner! look like it would be a torture device but is suspended on the rails, like a brooks I guess and is comfy on the number 2/ commuting bike. Not done more than 6 hours on this but reckon it would be fine for longer.
Somewhat bizarrely my favourite saddle is a superstar 'racer' its their superlight carbon railed jobby. Bought as it was on a massive discount ages ago (and it appealed to my inner-weight-weenie) its done two BB200s and plenty of long multi-day outings. doesn't give much fore-aft adjustment but doesn't feel like it needs it either. this is getting very tatty now and may lose its padding soon. not sure if this will be terminal or simply more weight shed!
Have also used a PX team, which was fine on both road and MTB and a couple of different selle italia saddles, one cheap, one shockingly pricey (at full retail anyway) sadly neither really did it for me, although the cut out section of the expensive one makes me think I should try again...
Just been for the first ride on the SDG Bel-Air. Really comfy, I like the scooped shaped, seems to spread the load a little better, and it's super comfy for getting low when climbing the steep stuff.

Well, the saddle body itself isn't very forgiving, and the elastomers only really take out bigger bumps, I also found it a bit too flat for me, so puts too much pressure directly on the sitbones. It was moved to the road bike, which it works pretty well on, but I've now put the SDG Circuit (Like Flite SLR) back on the road bike, and moved the Morgaw saddle to my full susser, which hardly ever gets out of the shed.
