Right, okay, here goes......
I'm a tad tipsy but will commit to placing a dinghy and pump near / on route in a grid ref square and publish the night before.

Don't the rules say you can't leave drops anywhere?
You'll need to carry it with you from the start

SN 868568 please enlighten me
For those who appreciate quiet and solitude

If the weather's nice, the crags nearby would make a lovely place to wake up.

Whilst riding past that island recently there's been conversation about how it would make an interesting bivvy spot. There appears to be a small patch at one end in amongst the trees that looks like it could be pitch-able.
@Mr S8tan...perhaps time to break out the stingray? :)
(Cue Stingray theme music)

So is there a theme to the WRT grid references such as Fords were for the Winter Event?
Is there anything to see/write down or anything at the grid references? Especially thinking of some of the ones that seem to be just off the tracks.
Thanks Dave

No

No

Remember, we're not working to the nearest meter ... near enough is good enough.

Thanks for the succinct response Stu
I'd like to enter for a prize for the greatest bike weight loss from arrival at the start to departure on the WRT (will be dropping off 4 heavy panniers, two racks). Would probably break the famed scales of truth on arrival ;-)

Oh I don't know, the scales have seen some real heavyweight contenders before

Is that for the bike or the rider?

There's an island in the reservoir about 50m from the shore. Its always been on the list to see if was possible to get across there.
I now regret not entering this year as there seems to be a swim involved but if I don't devote some of 2015's bank holiday weekends to long overdue house maintenance I'll be doing a 365/bivi-a-day with the rest of the family, living under a tarp in the garden!
