Has anyone ever had any issues with animals (food theft, sleeping with them, etc) under a tarp?
I got hassled out of my tent and ended up in a tree in my pants in the freezing f*#king cold by a gang of angry wild boar (though in France not the UK).

One of 'em was stood chewing the grips on my bike as I watched clutching my swiss army knife and shouting loudly (but doing nowt).

A fun evening!

Thought I heard a rattlesnake, turned out to be a palm rat. I don't like thinking about these things in the night and slugs give me the creeps.

I tried putting my mat inside the hunka, but I was as stiff as a corpse, could barely breathe. So it's mat on the ground for me.

I've said it before, there are no demons or evil spirits out there!
