Hey Stu any chance of the location being somewhere that if the weather is bad we won't all just be under own tarps for the evening? Would be nice to get a fire going and have a social sat around it.

If you mean a bothy, then possibly ... but there'll be no fires.

You'll be fine, I mean no fireplace / stove type fires.

Yeah sure thats fine. I was just hoping that we didn't have a repeat of last years in bed and asleep by 8pm.

Think it was 6.00pm for me

I'll put a few options in place, I'm hoping the weather will be kind and we can have a pleasant evening talking rubbish outside.

I'd love to join this, but given that I usually measure my speed with a calendar I'm a bit apprehensive about everyone waiting and getting cold at the top of every little bank.

Not keen on Tussocks either.

Do like beer though, if that helps.

To be fair Pickers I'm probably slower than you, I went last year and everyone was great and had no problem waiting around (well to my face anyway).

Don't let it put you off.

Pickers, I'll resist beasting the pack and ensure a sensible moderate pace is adhered to.

As it's a social ride and all that :-bd

You're doing it wrong.

You need to earn man points. This is achieved by:
  • Putting up shelves
  • Cutting the grass
  • Putting the rubbish out

It's my work Xmas do the night before, so I'm wavering on whether to turn up and spend the day heaving over the handlebars, or spend the day being pointed and laughed at by my family whilst I lay dying in bed.

It's my works do as well, but I'm going to make it. Rather be riding a bike feeling crap than sitting at home in the warm watching a half decent film with a few hair of the dog beers.......or would I?

I would have fancied this one too, a chance to meet a few more people but I'll be in Cornwall for the weekend at a wedding. Looking forward to the Ford Fiesta though.

Not too late. I'll let everyone know where to meet in a few days ... just need to check something first.
