Reminds me of a posh bit in Cardiff called Splot, but pronounced:

HAHAh. I used to live in Roath Park which is next door to it. Splot is anything but posh though mate.

There was a bit that my mate used to say was posh - we were students at the time, so perhaps it depends on your perspective - he used to say estate agents referred to it as that in an attempt to attract a better class of resident.

There was a reason they were trying to attract a better class of resident.

To be fair it's probs not quite as bad as it was but it's certainly not a nice part of Cardiff. When I grew up in Cardiff it was rough as a badgers arse, but that was 15-20 years ago.
