It was a great WRT and nice to get to visit a part of England I've never really been to before ;-) Many thanks to Dee & Stu for the event. Cake bakers for the cakes. Chew for the route and Jake, Roy, Tim, Paul & Chew again for riding companionship. If you're ever in Shropshire again folks then I can thoroughly reccomend a visit to the Anchor Inn at Anchor. Rustic 1950's charm (probably hasn't seen a broom or duster since that decade either!)

Also a thank you to the people I bumped into along the way, the little chats brightened the day up nicely

thanks also to the kind folk who let me camp with them, was a nice sociable way to spend the evening.

1st night sort of planned that way as I rode as a group of 6 (flatfishy, bertie, wotsits, sillybigfella and another I can't remember, sorry)

2nd night was fluke, Hafren Forest was popular. Similar group to the previous night plus a few more, must have been a dozen people there in total. Happily slept in till 9am, woke up to a very quiet spot!

Many thanks Stu, Dee and all who helped make the 2014 WRT a great weekend.

This year was the first time I've ever seen this on the weigh in!

Image

BlooShmoo and I had ourselves an fantastic camp on the first night, tucking nicely out of the wind.

Image

The second day we met up with FlatFish and many others who kindly let us tag along. Sadly, this was after BlooShmoo had elecricucted himself, not once, but twice, on an electric fence. I wider audience to watch him being shocked would have made it all the more funnier.

Sunday night ended up being a mini bivi festival with a fair few of us camped in the same spot.

Looking forward to next year already and may even give the BB200 a go this year

Thanks to Stu and Dee for another fantastic event and thanks (I think!) to Flatfishy for dragging me round again. Bit different to my last WRT in 2009 when I think there were 7 of us in total! Nice to bump into some old friends from previous trips (SBF) and make some new ones (wotsits & Bertie).

See you on the Teddy Bear Bones

Si

thanks to Stu, Dee, sponsors and everyone else that helped

first solo effort and I had a great time, shame I missed the "lonely hearts" lads but I think my pace might have turned it into a 4-day ride !

Sunday camp...

Thanks....as always it was an excellent event that allowed me to explore places that I wouldn't normally consider.

Cake, atmosphere, chat and banter all 1st class. Thanks also to Will & ?? (Terrible with names) for allowing us to share their bivvy spot and fire. Some shots below.

thanks Stu and Dee I had a great time on the WRT lite and my friends had fun too apart from the hills! Done about half the GRs in a loop then took them on a slight detour to Aberdovey to sleep on the sand dunes. Will be back next year!

Nick: were you naked from the waist down or something? Guy in brown top, third from left, seemed to like what he was seeing though.....

I don't think any of them were looking at me! I just happened to hold up my camera and snap at the right time, tickled me though :)
