Hoping to enter, need to run it past the wife first mind. Might talk to her about it over my birthday dinner tonight as she's legally obliged to be nice to me today

Bah! I really want to do this but have half-organised a Torridon trip for May and won't be able to do both. Been saying I'll go back to Torridon every year for over 20 years so I can't blow it out.

Pretty chuffed that over the last couple of months I'd talked my girlfriend into giving it a go and, admittedly beer assisted in the pub this evening, seem to have talked 3 others into it as well! All newbies but well up for it!

Well brought it up last night over dinner, and managed to talk her into coming with me, but we'll just be doing the Lite. Going to head down from Durham on Friday, stay in Ponterwyd to catch up with friends from when I lived there, do the Lite, back over to Ponterwyd for Sunday night, then the drive home on Monday. Will get our entries in soon!

I'm in. Haven't persuaded anyone to join me yet. I couldn't last year either and quite enjoyed the solitude....

Were you talking? I couldn't hear anything over the sound of me scoffing cake!
My mission this year is NOT to damage the scales at the weigh in!

Considering entering but struggling to convince anyone else I know to ride with me it seems.
If I just turn up (prepared to be a loner) is it likely that I'll find other people to ride with?

There'll be plenty of folk to tag along with.
I'm normally free to drag people round, just ask CaptainFantastic how much misery I inflicted on him last year. :D

You're 'allowed' to sleep wherever you like - B&B, Pub, hotel, 10 bedroom holiday cottage*. If you want to be outside then a tent is allowed too, it doesn't have to be a bivvy bag.
*
Yes I'm talking to you two.

Along with Wendy Houses, you can add rat infested sheds, rugby pitches, pub back gardens, boggy but comfortable forests, sheep sheds (Pole Bank, Long Mynd) and recreation fields, B&B's in Dolgellau & Llanrhaeadr and the White Lion in Mach :D
It's all good :)

Undecided this year, partly due to the distance between Scotland and Wales...and I've never been able to convince a friend that it would be fun.
