Our family have not done for six years except for under 18's, I have one nephew left in that category.

I do send my daughter some money but she has said not to buy for my granddaughters as they have enough. The deal is we buy, with other grandparents, a family membership to a local farm / attraction near home that they can visit frequently. Maybe I have not been a total failure as a parent.

My birthday is near Christmas so I either buy myself one frivolous present or split the cost with Mrs Nuts which is what we are doing this year.
A Lego Technic John Deere 948L-II Skidder (42157) is now sitting upstairs waiting to be assembled. She has just ordered herself some toilet paper printed with Trump's face.

It's just possible I'll let the grand children play with the Lego when they come around but only if I can play with their toys when I visit them.

My wife's been asking me as apparently I haven't made any noise about anything while we're out and about. So I've said some posh coffee bags and the Alpkit Brukit coffee press.
I've bought my 3 year old a mini saddlebag and handlebar bag for his balance bike.

Nothing new to add but agreement with Stu, voodoo-simon & Rapideye really.
This missus hates buying Christmas presents, often she'd buy decent stuff for the adults kids, then find them stashed in drawers or under beds ( the presents, not the kids) ... so we have resorted to money for the kids ( all in their late 20's) and nothing for anyone else or each other.
My side of the family dropped down to sort of a secret-satan type thing where a couple buy for another couple ... but we've said not this year as we've reached a point in our lives that if we want anything we can all afford to buy it, if we haven't got it we don't want it, and I don't want stuff I don't want. And the stuff I do want is very specific and I'll get exactly what I want when I want it... not something similar.
Sounds a bit Bah humbug but ...

Both my family and my partner's now do a low value (£25/30 limit) secret Santa, but secret Satan sounds more fun

We try to actual recycle cans from venues, family friends etc due to the lower environmental impact. But something like that actually happened last week when Jubel Peach can-dles went crazy. I had to go and buy some and pour it into a pint glass and out it in the fridge as I couldn't face drinking it at 9am!!
