Top beardage! I need to up my bumfluff game

Very old (31+ years) playground joke that Dave. Used for the prejudiced against the seikhs and muslims who would wear a beard. My standard response (once I matured, which did take a bit of time) would be to ignore it and not entertain a response, but since it's you and I like you... and you obviously didn't know as you're not from Yorkshire, I thought I'd highlight it

Anyway, on philosophising why would anyone want to compare one person's bum/public hairs to another person's lovely, smart and well groomed facial hair (otherwise known as a beard). I don't know, really...

Helmet colours done well before the current genocide commenced (in case anyone wondered) years ago.

That's the one. Glenn from London sent it me years ago. Kask Mojito I think. Would never be able to afford one myself so needed to do something special to it straight after I'd serviced it (couple of new tabs inside). Hopefully I did a good job and it was just bland white before that

In fact, most things I was wearing on that ride were used/second hand. Shirt from Craghoppers years ago purchased new in sale. Helmet given to me; shoes refurbished by Timpsons (he reglued em and only charged £15, but was telling my wife when she collected em that it was a tough job); trousers sold me cheap by IOW Sean then I had my sister in law resize em; socks Teko but on the last legs. Oh, the chamois was now to me, but only after having bought another item by the same makers from Dave/Glossop on here.

Such a wonderful money saving tactic being regular in the forums Am working on my first (new to me) Patagonia purchase though and really need a good clear out of gear! WTH!!

Lol. I knew it would be something like that Dave and thanks. I was just explaining how I always get up in arms when the words 'bumfluff' comes up and remainder silent. Cos it was you I thought I'd speak back.

I think dropping of an Alternator with full sized pillow deserves a little documentation to go with! So, after swapping out the alternator, my mate in Huddersfield said he'll take to old one to help tune up his refurbished skills. I obviously wasn't gonna drive an alternator 10 miles up the road so someone could play and fiddle to satisfy their fancies

Also needed going to Huddersfield was my dad's new pillow. £39.99 on the site that sells the one he'd been given years ago as a sample. But £12.50 for an identical one on ebay near Crewe. So I'd arranged to go pick the ebay one, shave off £27.50 and donate it to the 'help rebuild Syria project' that I'm concentrating on this year.

Thankfully work came up at Crewe the days before the arranged collection so that 140 mile round trip was saved. Back to yesterday, they both needed going to Hudds. But would they fit!







Well, with a bit of a shove and removal of the cardboard box they would heaviest and bulkiest items in the pack ever, altogether have some co-operative time!



Twas a bit of a squish. Which my dad wondered about when I got it there. He'd thought I rode it all the way from Crewe, so was slightly perplexed at me squeezing the daylights out of it. That was before he knew that it was sharing space with an alternator

Well, OK, we never told him about the alternator but I did explain the rest of the story and got permission to use the savings for my Syria project. He was 'appy and my Spinelock proved itself once again - thanks to Revelate and Alhamdulillah.

Interesting ride though with about 8 - 10kg at the seat post!
