The thigh deep river (but with nets down stream, it being a 'safe' environment)

The 'death march' = 500m of clear fell / wind blow Sitka
'The push' = a 500m vertical ascent climb at a gradient guaranteed unrideable
The boulder field (also guaranteed unrideable)
The 'descent' (ditto)
The bivvy site - complete with fire pit, broken down chicken shed, broken buckie bottles and loads of litter
the pub...
Sounds like BB200 2018

Reg, dont forget about being "rad" and "sic". I think this very much depends on wind direction and proximity to nuclear power stations.

On the first WRT LHC I rode with Reg, I clearly recall, Reg, Pickers, Scott of the Woods, and me, I confess,
repeatedly using the phrase "that was RAD man" after one particularly 'gnarly' section of singletrack.
enjoy it Reg. Channel that inner gnar!

As per Colin's (hopefully temporary) affliction over in 'Close Up For A Bit', I fancied rejuvenating this. Well it is Friday so anything goes, and we seem to have attracted lots of lovely new Boners since then who probably have loads of additions.

Vocab aside, we should repeat the trip when we can - I think they've finally finished the rock'n'rollers section.

You may get informed that a e bike is the only way to get as many "runs" in as possible .
a group told me that this morning

E bikes seem to be quite the thing amongst the trail centre warriors these days. They should all be made to ride rigid SS I tell ye!
Its fair to say I've been 'sessioning' numerous local trails over the last couple of months. This has lead to a marked lack of improvement on any of them. In fact all that happens is that you are riding a long a bit of trail and you think "Remember to miss that particularly big rock / hole / tree root etc. that's along here" whereupon you hit it....

Were they just sessioning lower cliff? Isn’t that what the cool kids do?

I could do all that stuff (on a rigid SS)
Well I could if I wanted too.
Probably

There was a time when I ran the local trails on my weekly run to try and learn them better as I figured it would be easier to spot the key roots etc, at the lower speed on foot. Can't say it helped as when I rode them the features arrived sooner than expected due to the higher speed so I was still rubbish

Ah, the Strava line

In my local woods the fast kids put logs/sticks on the bends to stop people short-cutting them for faster times

Nah, I went in winter, the 'duro shredders only ride in the summer
I once titled a run 'loving the mtb trails' as I ran lots the local trails to make a change from the bigger tracks I usually run on. It was flagged by strava as the software thought I'd put it in the wrong category

It would have been a very slow ride if it had been one.

Arg. I wish you hadn't re-posted that photo. On the upside at least we now know who the
real model for BBB jerseys is

. And that bloke's drinking a bit early I must say, it's only ten past nine. Maybe he needed a drink to calm him down. Actually I think he vaguely resembles a fireman I know. All very mysterious.
