Ooh no, I don't recall that we've ever 'purged' anyone. Even a 'quiet word' is something that only happens once in a blue moon. In this instance, I can only assume that he mistook our genuine enthusiasm for piss-taking. I suppose there aren't many forums, even cycling one's where people want to see a road-cone stuck on the back of a bike.
