The difference appears to be how they're modelling the movement of the high/low pressures. XC think that the prevailing wind will be from the north, thus cooler and dryer. Yr.no are saying that the low pressure and prevailing south-westerly will have arrived by Saturday tea time and thus rain. So, the question you need to ask yourself is do you want a cold head wind for the finish or a wet tail wind?

Actually, I think a wet tail wind is more likely. At least if it's wet it won't be too cold on Saturday night.

That was my source yesterday. Good news, Yr get it right more than most others I've found.
Still might need the wellies for crossing some of the wetter parts...?

I managed to maintain dry feet for the southern Rhayader/ Twyi/ Carnau section with a pair of Shimano WM80 boots a couple of weeks ago. Some of the crossings looked quite deep, but if you picked your way through it was OK.

After getting my hands on a GoPro some time ago, and more recently, Adobe After Effects, thought I'd put this together.

Cheers gents! Was tricky to chose from all the footage I had! In the end I went with the driest bits haha.

nice one, I was wondering what it was like after seeing a few pretty tired bb200 riders as we brought them into the Bothy. I reckon you should have put a few of the wet bits in to prove how hard as nails you are ;-)

Good to see there was 5 minutes of dry riding in the 15 hours plus!
Nice footage, speeded up it looks quite exciting! I like the squeezing it all in the drybag at the start, a lot of gear seemed to go into a small bag - No pics of the overnight stop though? Or did you ride through the night?

Cheers!
It was a medium Exped compression dry sacks. Managed to fit a Rab Neutrino 200 down bag, hammock gear under quilt, Uniqlo down jacket, and a pair of thermal leggings.
We stopped in the public toilets by the damn for an hour to dry out, warm up and cook some cous cous, but other than that didn't stop. I had intended to stop, but progress was real slow so needed to go through to make up time. Got some video of 3 of us sat in a public toilet, huddled around a gas stove, but there were no lights, so unless you know what you are looking at, it doesn't look like much haha.
Speeded up to 400% just to try and show more ground covered and changes in scenery while keeping the video a decent length.
