I'm with you James, it's like a feeding frenzy and to be completely honest, it seems to bring out the very worst in people.

Wonder if there are any black Friday deals at the chippy this lunch time?

I bought a couple of things on black friday "deals". But tbh, it was just coz I needed them at the time and was going to get them anyway. It was more a case of going "hmm, prices are a bit steep at the moment, I'll have another look in a couple of days time" - a couple of days later "oh, that's better, more what I was expecting - oh i see, it's a so called black friday deal".

Oh yes, if a purchase comes from the need first and then the value that clinches it, all good. When it's the other way round it's us consumers feeding the retailer's addiction to selling on price. It's the creation of product churn and waste which follows that cycle that I'm not comfortable with, and discounting is only one part of that.

Good time to stock-up on SiS nutrition with 50% off plus some bonus freebies thrown in. Hoping the immune hydration tablets will keep me cold-free this winter!

Would eating fresh, non-processed, 'proper' food not do the same? Seems strangely ironic that something so overly manufactured is meant to boost your immune system.

tend to agree but there is no harm [ except to your wallet] in a broad spectrum placebo
I would still just get a cheaper multivitamin than that if i was worried as vit c and Iron can be purchased cheaper than that.

Bit of a deal on Anker 3a 10400mah battery packs. I've never used an Anker but many folk seem to like them.

It's a list of current prices of spirits (including most of the more popular single malts) at various supermarkets, which some kind soul updates weekly, so you can see what's on offer at any given supermarket (and there's always one or more) all at once.
I dip into it from time to time when I need to replenish stocks. No need for me at the moment though, as I just received a bottle of Arran for my birthday, having realised I haven't yet opened a bottle of Ardmore I got last year
