Thanks all for the input. I'll sleep on it, but I reckon the Japanthers will be a nice little upgrade to the shimano's. I have just bought some new car tyres and the dissent133 gloves though

I have been a regular customer of
www.alwaysriding.co.uk since their early days. Looks like they are closing there retail arm at the end of the year so quite a few bargains over next few months.
I have just ordered some Red/White shorts for £50 which a few on here like. Lots of other good brands as well.
If anyone is a 28" waist the Muxu 3/4 are a steal at £15 I love mine but never going to fit in that size!

So I've bought some Japanthers (actually 2 different sizes, but one set are being returned).
Next question. Where can I get the "protective shim" for the cleats that the warning sticker on them tells me to use if using Time cleats, otherwise I invalidate the warranty....

Sportsshoes.com have a great Montane sale at the moment. I paid £40 for an Alpha Guide jacket, and the cheapest I can find it anywhere else is around £80

For those of you wanting plus tyres at a decent price, Wiggle have the light version of the WTB Ranger at a much lower price (£23.99) than elsewhere:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/wtb-ranger-tcs- ... -plus-tyre
I bought a couple to set my Commando up as a 29+. Also pretended to be a new customer for an extra tenner off a £50 spend.

What that frame needs is more options to attach things to it
