That's a loss of 4kg (or 8.8lbs in old money), mostly down to a sensible diet as oppose to lots of exercise.

Not a single Ginster since last year ! :-bd

Matt .... seriously though, well done,
To be fair, he did lose his left arm in an horrific DIY accident last week.

Week four, so time for the second weigh in. Don't forget to edit your original posts with your new weights.

Graph update on Monday folks.

Me this week, down 0.3kg making 3.0 kg in the last 4 weeks. Happy with this I think.

Keep the weights commingled in!

Weight is now 85.5Kg so 1.5Kg lost since the start. Happy with that - slow and steady rather than spectacular

At the top of that (or any) post, the bit where it says "Re: Bearbone Fat Fighters etc", is a link you can click or right click and copy. Just paste that link into a newer post to allow NorwayCalling a handy link back to your earlier post.

Oops... going away and meeting up with friends / significant quantity of food & alcohol partaken in means that I'll be working off some new flab for a week or so.

Original Post Updated: http://bearbonesbikepacking.co.uk/phpBB ... 99#p106599

Now 73.6 kg (from 74kg).

Have had a stinking cold for a week, no biking (or very much in the way of exercise at all), and really wasn't thinking too much of diet more of comfort eating (chocolate digestives anyone?). Still pleased to see some weight off though. Have started a food diary to help focus more and chocolate digestives will be limited to apres ride indulgence
Still BaM night tonight, something to look forward too

However my Buffalo cycling top now zips up the sides so something must
Be changing ? Been good too, no Alcohol/bread/rice/spuds, just some Dark
Choc as a treat :???:

just some Dark Choc as a treat :???:
This is just a thought - be careful using the word 'treat' as it tells your brain that you must be depriving yourself at other times. Nowt wrong with the odd bit of quality chocolate but just consider it a perfectly normal part of what your diet* rather than something special.

*meant in the true sense, not the slimming club sense.

Cheers Stu,I know what you mean, I was using the term 'treat' loosely
And I am incorporating it into my eating plan, my wife says I'm not eating
Enough to be fair....
Edit ; that's eating enough food not dark choc

Initial Goal ? anything starting with 15st would be good...... 14st something would be vaguely exciting

17st 6.8lb :???:
17th Jan - 17.3.4 (was 17.6.0 on 16th)
23rd Jan - 17.2.6
30th Jan - 16.13.4 !! :) Considering it's was my birthday week, I'm seriously happy to have lost 3 lb and snuck back into the 16st arena :)
I bought Eat Bacon, Don't Jog ..... it's an excellent read :) I've found it very encouraging.

59.6 Kg, -0.5 since last week.

I genuinely think this is a hard time of the year to lose weight, with long nights and rotten weather impacting on riding, whilst the mind craves comfort food as an antidote to the misery outside. I reckon the cold weather also triggers some chemistry changes that encourages the metabolism to store more food as fat. Complete speculation...!

There's next to nothing in it, temperature wise. If you're exercising in the heat, you burn more calories trying to stay cold. If you're cold to the point that you're shivering, you burn more calories to stay warm.

Also (and I'm surprised it's me saying this)... MTFU and get out in the cold. It's what waterproofs and multiple layers were made for!

Clearly, something is not working. Thankfully, MBNut gave me a proper talking to on Saturday night, not about my weight, but my fitness, and it seems to have sparked something in me. If Im to have a hope of getting round the Tour du Mont Blanc in the summer, something has to change. I can do this.
I'm just going outside ...

Gairy Mannion - Target weight: 90kg (and eventually lower)

Start weight -01-01-2017:

110kg

09-01-2017:

108.9kg

16-01-2017:

107.8kg

23-01-2017:

107.2kg

31-01-2017:

108.4kg

Bugger - turns out that getting hammered all weekend whilst eating every meal out during the Winter Camp weekend had a negative impact on my weight loss plan - who knew???

Back to it now with the healthy eating and the not drinking all the beer.....

Seems my weight loss has stalled, but my fat loss is continuing. I'd normally be happy, but I really just want to get these last few KGs off so I can get back to adding strength and fitness rather than barely holding onto it.

Week 4 results (a little late but here they are)

Collectively we have lost another ~15 kg in weight - good going folks and a real inspiration to keep at it. Not been a good few weeks for me (stress eating!) but hopefully I will get back at it.

Here is this weeks graph*

Cheers!

Mike.

Well done all. It's not easy*, especially at this time of year. Keep at it and you'll be surprised by the time Easter arrives ... I might have to get some BB Mankinies ordered up (and summat more appropriate for Wenchie) :-bd

*I say this with the perspective of being 'the fat kid' at school and in those days there was only ever a couple of you and no defensive PC shield
