I'm not allowed mine until March...
Apparently there are only 15 pairs in Europe, and Shona managed to get 4 of those for the UK.
I now know where three pairs have gone. Maybe John Climber has got the forth?

There's 2 pairs coming to Charlie the Bike Monger, 1 of which will be mine.

^ Nice. If I could add to my Jones bar collection that would be the one .. I'm making excuses not to, weak ones.
Anyway, a parcel from Wildcat today. Another fine example of how cunning use of straps can make bikepacking kit so much better - a Mtn Lion harness.
Anyone set one up on a Loop bar / Truss fork combo? It's intended for the road bike but it has more potential than that, I'm sure there's a cunning way to make the Truss triangulation spans work well with the harness lower tension straps.

Thanks James. Let me know how you get on with the truss fork. We've looked at and think it should fit in the way you describe, but have never had opportunity to try it ourselves.

New bike for my boy, hence my absence from the Winter Bivvy.

An Alpkit frame bag, I even asked them to put a couple of velcro loops on the top inside for holding my Stu poles
a fake-GoPro

Small but sweet

Perfect for connecting my Garmin to the Kemo. The Up Angle Mini B plug means the cable comes out at a better angle and it would be good for those running their GPS on a stem too.

Mine are a whole 4g heavier than that
Unsure whether to cut them down to 660mm or not. 710mm seems really quite wide...

I put them on the scale the other way around they were 290g. So maybe turn them around?
I'm gonna start full width, ride them for a while and see, once you cut you can't put it back, and that's at least £20 worth of crabon!
Looking forward to my TomCat bag!

They'll be here today or tomorrow all being well. Put one on the carbon loops last night and it fits like a glove

Some new reading matter. Looking forward to getting stuck in as much is set in mid-Wales. A quick look at the pics suggests not much has changed in the last 50 years ... there's pictures of people carrying bikes across bogs

Looks like a day for some new reading...
A long time customer completely surprised me by sending me a new book. First few pages are pretty funny. Should be a good 'un.

Do like Tim Moore's writing, both French Revolutions (his riding the TdF) and Spanish Steps (doing the Camino Frances variant of the Camino de Santiago) had me crying with laughter in places. His description of bonking is unforgettable!

More stuff ... the 'awards' for the video comp have just arrived. You've heard of the Oscars, so maybe these should be the Boners?

I'm definately not uploading a vid if there is a danger of getting a Boner from Stu for my troubles.
