Pair of 661 filter shoes from CRC for £45, bargain. Now off to Decathlon to buy some shimano m520 spd pedals to go with them at £15.99, another bargain
Why the switch to clipless Ray?

Two pairs of Etxeondo gloves, one summer and one winter from Merlin. Each was 50% off in the sale then a further 10% off in the basket. There stuff is excellent but can only afford in the sales. I will look all 'pro' with their softshell jacket and tights I bought in the spring sale from AlwaysRiding.

Bargain On-One Fatty frame ... which oddly won't be getting built into a fat bike.

Mainly not being able to find flattie shoes I like at the right price. I loved my 5ten boots but they only lasted 12 months before the sole came away, not impressed at £80. I still have a pair of summer SPD shoes with lots of life left in them so between them and the 661's I should be good for quite some time before having to buy again.

Why would you want a lump of a frame like that and
not build it up into a fat bike?

Because I'm hoping 50mm 650b rims mated to 3.25" tyres might work quite well in there.

That is an Exped Synmat UL 7 LW (I had wanted MW but no stock so after a long wait I was offered LW for the same price). Plus an Exped Pillow pump.

I'm so excited! My birthday present arrived today - a radio controlled Tamiya Grasshopper. I've never had a proper toy before. Can't wait to open it in a couple of weeks....
I'll post back up when I've broken it

I'm waiting to introduce the wonders of radio controlled cars to my eldest

I used to race at a local club when I was a kid. I had a Schumacher ProCat:

A rather used set of ACA GDMBR maps from Chicken legs. It's clear that New Mexico was quite muddy!

Pogies for me and my boy from

They're the basic ones, but they feel plenty warm enough for the UK.
WWe're looking forward to having toasty hands on the Winter bivvy.
