I think I recall now that the previous milk container side was attached to some form of Mudhugger. Just not this gigantic as what I've just bought. Can't stand the thought of making the bike look like a motocross by adding it on though.
Will see if I can dig out some pics of my traumatic Sonder Transmitter. Fenders: blooming ugly things no matter how they're made!

Cracker of a route and of a day out.
Tougher than expected by looking at the map, we managed to miss the rain but got plenty of headwind

Someone on the 300 did an extra few km, he passed a lot of 200 riders on his second go at the first climb after looping back round to Llanbrynmair......
Can't laugh too much, I didn't notice I'd knocked my GPS button freezing the screen and did a long extra bit myself
I also learnt again the value of the 5 P's as my " I'll replace it after BB200" drivetrain turned into a nightmare
Big thanks to the rider who pushed on to me a spare quicklink
Great day out and called it quits at Mach as a potential disaster in the middle of nowhere didn't appeal. Really enjoyed the route to there and the weather was fantastic
Y Star was friendly and cosy if you are looking for somewhere to stay locally

I can confirm that whoever did that wasn't entirely alone
although I realised about 2 miles down the hill and turned around

I made it round just about but was not very well for quite a bit of it and would like to thank Matt, Rob and Karl for there moral support without which I'm not sure I would have made it.

I got within spitting distance of the first turn off before realising. I'm blaming the extra 15km or whatever it was for needing to take a 20 minute nap by some wheelie bins on the very last road section before the final forestry track climb.

I thought you were in incredibly good spirits all things considered Alex! Was nice chatting. In fact it was nice chatting to everyone this year: I found myself riding with far more people than I managed last year.

Well I'm absolutely shattered today. I'm normally in green territory but made a concious attempt for a black this year. It was going swimmingly up to the the northern turn back and then I started to flag a bit and it was a case of head down, keep going and walk if you have to. It seems to be recurring trait of the bearbones that the further you go, the longer those miles stretch out, a bit like one of those corridors in a horror film. Anyway, with benefit of the motivation of riding with Russ and Hugh towards the end, I managed to get back in time for my first ever black badge, which I'm dead chuffed with.
The apparently straightforward route was actually quite tough and there were plenty of those little touches that make the BB what it is. So thanks to Dee and Stu for another never again. Til next year.

Well done!! You're not alone in finding the route tougher than expected. I found the ladder stiles were a nice touch but the missing bridge in the last mile was my favourite

Great riding all those who finished. The 200 route (or the 1st half) was excellent- and so much drier than expected.
I rode with Mike and MarkE until I dropped off the back and scuttled back on the road - not wanting to make myself ill.... (had a cold that extracted all the life from my legs and gave my digestion system extra work to do!).
Enjoyed it though - many tracks ridden in the past and forgotten, and many new ones.
