A reasonable sized group had formed in the Wynstay ahead of last years BB200/300. Every person present had owned Hunt wheels with cracked rims around the spoke holes. I'm stupid enough to ignore the warnings and bought another pair for my Audax bike (after my gravel ones cracked). Sure enough, they have also developed cracks

Blimey, Matt seems to have put all his troubles of yesterday behind him and pulled and overnighter through Fisherfield, doing the gruesome Glen Muice climb at dark O'clock Currently on the last bit of the Tollie path.

Crack on son, the rest is easy (er)

Thanks all. The encouragement was appreciated!
It got very messy at the end. My feet decided that they'd had enough reducing any walking efforts to a slow hobble.

Despite outward appearances there wasn't much resilience or determination going on. I checked my phone "Google Maps: destination Tyndrum" on numerous occasions. Realised that getting anywhere round here on public transport (especially when taking a bike) is a logistical nightmare. In the end it was easier just to keep riding.

Well done Matt. You are not a sloth phenomenal effort and inspiration to us (who are constantly checking the GPS with an 'are we there yet'). Looking forward to the full report from many of you.

I've just caught up with all of this. Absolutely epic stuff from all concerned-particularly from members on here competing.
However, I thinks hats off to Alex McCormack for his absolutely bonkers win, on 3 hours sleep in just over 3 days......WTF?!!!
His kit list was 'minimal' particularly his OMM Raid Light sleep system, which I though was actually pretty cool and functional
