Ha ha ha ha ha.

They're a long way away still. Last update was that rims were imminent but the frames would be another couple of months. I reckon Xmas

The useless moron from Yodel finally came after he tried and failed 2 previous times to actually knock on the door while I was home. God knows why on-one use these idiots. Oh yeah, they are cheap.

Got some new OG Bars in Crabon. Lovely shape.

Well my Backcountry Boiler has finally arrived from the States, got hit for customs so it ended up being fairly pricey - but it was a bday present.

212g complete on the scales, so less than half the eight of a Mkettle. Holds 600ml of water and hard anodised. Lovely made and this one is the mk3 so seamless construction to the vessel - not even sure how that is even possible.

Not tried a burn test with wood yet, but tried it with a 5g carbon firefelt last night. Boiled 600ml in just over 6mins on very little meths.

Very happy with it.

Postie just delivered my new BB pole (thanks Stuart). This one is 150cm and weighs 120 grams. Stu sourced some new DAC style sections (they say DAC press fit on the sides) and the four sections are 37.5cm each, which is 6cm less than the longest sections on my 110cm BB poles. It's also a nice understated grey, if that counts for anything. I use my 110cm BB poles heaps, but wanted something longer to give me the option of more headroom when just using a tarp and to create a nice big annex for my tent when I'm cycle touring. I'll post some pix when I have a chance to get into the garden for a play.

Not from the postman but from the best niche LBS in Manchester

New 35mm rim for the front of the Jones to increase the tyre volume (but mainly to match the rear wheel because of my bike matching OCD)

Built up by Rich of Keep Pedalling of Manchester this morning and ready for it's first spin tonight.

Oh and I have a confession

I bought another Brooks C17 Cambium saddle (on offer honest)

I think I have a problem
Or I've finally found my perfect saddle, I just hope my bum doesn't change shape

A load of blokes in the same shirt staggering about and vomiting from excess? Sounds about right.

Went you drive past an Outdoor shop with 20% off stickers all over the window it's hard not to have a look around inside if you had a bit of time to kill.

Dam you 20% off stickers and my lack of self control

A Wildcat Lioness to go with the Mountain Lion I bought at the WRT. Quality piece of kit.

If I might make a (hopefully constructive) criticism - it's not quite big enough to take an OS Explorer map with the cover on and tight with the cover removed, for the sake of an extra 10mm of width. I know that in these days of electronic navigation this is only a minor point and, despite having made the observation, it will in no way detract from my use of the bag.

Postman never left them but thought id pick em up as im in the states. So ive got a new viscacha, fuel tank and two feed pods hoping to pick up a lunar solo also  bought a new pair of giro terradura shoes at a bargain price but had to take them back after one ride as the soles came apart. Thats what I call quality!
