As a competitive tw*t, what will the tussock racing entail? Running with a loaded bike, unloaded bike, no bike?
I'm still working out the finer points of the rules but it will involve both riding and carrying, however the bike needn't be loaded. Certain additions such as pipe lagging fixed to the bike will be allowed but it'll need to confirm to strict regulations and not hinder the ability to ride the bike. :geek:

OK, signed up for myself and the better half. Not sure where we are going to be riding from as we are going to see The Stranglers on the Friday night :-bd so it might be a late night drive or an early morning one to get somewhere a bit closer to the epicentre.

Looking for a starting point/route about four or five hours ride from BBHQ, nothing too hilly mind. We are coming down from Yorkshire so preferably North and East.

Llanfair Caereinion or Llanerfyl could be worth a look Bob. Newtown could also be an option ... and probably the least hilly option.

Is Llanerfyl where there was a bitch of a road climb that gradually petered out into a tussock infested bog on last year's BB200?

Actually, I think Ian's doing it a little bit of a disservice. If you forget about the awfully steep, unrelenting climb and the tussock infested boggy bit, the section in the middle is really nice

Can't remember if I asked this already - when is the cut off for ordering tickets? I need to work out if I can arrange a pass, there's a few things happening around then

No idea about arrangements for this yet - I don't mind the ride in, it's the ride back to the car that's the challenge

There's no date confirmed yet ... I won't to hold off for as long as possible but obviously, the later people are, the more grief with regard to sorting out catering, booking toilets, etc.

Yeah, that'd be fine James. I will give plenty of warning of impending ticket closure .... at present take up rate, it's going to be quite an intimate affair.

The only problem is that there are cars on tarmac bits on the way to Stu's and when riding over open farmland all dogs have to be on leads on the permissive right of way.

He hasn't got any real plans and so we may be able to join you all.... We'd probably park up in Newtown then head over .....
