More than just a gravel bike, evidently. Met the new Rondo MYLC.

Sorry to be my usual self but that doesn't look like a riding position to inspire confidence on technical terrain. Granted, the image does indicate a slack(ish) head angle but 'head down, arse up' and what looks like minimal stand-over seems at odds.

The AL version looks a fair bit better, but with MTB inspired geometry doesn't necessarily mean extra tyre clearance (not surprising with 425mm chainstays):

Their product images are definitely messed with a lot. That AL frame has a more pronounced scoop out of the seat tube, and they also left in a cable rear disc brake (presumably form another build) in the photo, and they've chopped off most of the bottle cage bosses...

Brighton-based titanium bike specialist Reilly has struck again at Ally Pally, showing off a prototype of a fascinating new race-foc gravel bike called the Reflex at the Cycle Show. While it's built for speed, so says Reilly, this is very much practical and fast gravel rather than US-style, minimal aero gravel, as the Reflex can run a dropper post and dynamo lights with fully integrated cabling and has huge 55mm tyre clearance.

Longer wheel base, shorter stem, no toe overlap for one of them. Winner of the two in my books. As ugly as it may look. Thankfully there are other bikes out there with the mentioned characteristics without looking hideous

While it's built for speed, so says Reilly, this is very much practical and fast gravel rather than US-style, minimal aero gravel, as the Reflex can run a dropper post and dynamo lights with fully integrated cabling and has huge 55mm tyre clearance.

This bit I don't understand, it's "practical and fast" whereas US-style bikes are "minimal aero" implying they aren't 'fast bikes' while this runs 55mm tyres which won't be as 'aero' as a skinnier tyred bike. And a dropper, internal dynamo routing and and integrated cables aren't revolutionary in 2023.

Aside from the wheels that ironically make it look leaden it does look nice.

I guess they meant quite a few gravel race bikes have no routing for dropper and lights, tight clearances etc - fast intentions but impractical for many riders. Practical and fast is just adding a few holes to the frame and fork?
Can't see me wanting 55mm tyres on a bike like that but clearance is always good. Light 700 x 42 road tyres and well-fitted 50mm guards would be useful, could suit the rest of the bike well.

Edit - and from the pics old Alp' isn't wrong (when is he ever? ) about the potential for toe overlap on that Reilly. It looks rather close, so close in fact that maybe the reason for the jaunty crank angle in that image is to avoid emphasising the issue - in a we-should-be-told!!!! kinda manner

Nice frame on that Reilly, but otherwise it's a road bike with very chunky tyres. I do prefer it when off road capability of the tyres are more commensurate with geometry, but i've never been much interested in the road/allroad end of the gravel spectrum...

Just a mountain biker happy to not having any overlap issues when riding stuff with the long reach curly bar bike (BMC URS) on the bits where the mountain bike would've been the better choice.
