Michael Sheen, Tom Jones, Charlie Church, Sian Phillips, and more. Nearly bought a DVD but just found it on the Tube.... best listened to with the fire on, lights off, with a few pints, let it wash over you..... clever idea.. top quality....

Thanks for that, I very very much needed/ enjoyed that on Tuesday evening, just as you said, lights off, strong cider "let it wash over you"

+1 for Transatlantic Sessions. Used to love watching that when living here way back when. It was this kinda thing that turned me on to Brebach.

Great fun at Sham 69 gig tonight. Pursey and Parsons must be at least 100 years old now. Managed to ease our way down to the front as usual. Lots of pensioners jumping up and down, crashing zimmer frames into each other and having a marvellous time. Finished at 11pm so we all managed to get back to our care homes before curfew.

Whilst booking Amyl and The Sniffers I discovered the Sex Pissed Dolls (ho ho! nice wordplay, what wags eh?), so will be off to Chester to see them: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P6_ ... scw%3D%3D . They're going to catch a chill in those outfits if they're not careful..... Be interesting to compare them with recent Sex Pistols Expose gigs  .

Anyway, Sham 69:

Out again this evening to see the hardcore punk band "Rant". Great name guys.

Hang on a minute, what's this? Have we come to the wrong gig? It's a fiddle quartet!

Only jokin' of course. 'Tis the acclaimed Scottish fiddlers "Rant". Not something I'd normally go for but it's good to have contrasts and very skilled they were too. “‘Chamber-folk of the highest order” The Scotsman, "Sheer class” ***** The Herald.

Well they look interesting yes. Thanks for the tip-off!

"A band of classical musicians, breathing beautifully dark energy into legendary Rock & Metal tracks. Bathed in a sea of candles, skeletal players with rhinestone masks effortlessly switch between sublime melodies & powerful walls of sound. Crooked lurching towers, floating lanterns & giant headbanging puppets set the stage for an otherworldly musical experience".

Blimey!

They only seem to sing and play two or possibly three notes; is that on purpose do you think? It's certainly very economical  .

I think Stop Making Sense could be one of the best live films... obviously The Suit visuals are great ... the album loses something ... good call though

As it's 45 years since Bela Lugosi's Dead was released I think a listen is due. Not that it's ever far from my playlists, still love it.
