Forget lightweight.
Grab your "lightweight" chair and cook with one of these

It's the future

I guess if it's made out of granite you're right it certainly ain't going to be in the 'lightweight' category

I assumed with Connect in the name it'd be battery powered... Weighs more than my tent.

Only £1,149.00 for the base model, or £1,368.00 with some solar panels. Bargain...

...a pair of spiffy Adidas 5.10 SPD brothel creepers. Colour is a lot lighter than the photo on the website but a winter of use will sort that £64.50!! bargain! :-bd

GXP BB cup bearings and tool to suit. Was hoping the BB would come with a wavy washer that the setup requires but got short changed by Sram  (was a boxed part too!). Oh well, got a wavy washer on its way now, hopefully it will arrive at the weekend…

Some tubeless valves, now fitted and sealed up.

That means my new Fairlight Holt is ready to ride. Just sitting on it feels world's apart from the Stooge I've been riding for years and I can't remember the last time I rode a bike with suspension.

There's a strong temptation to ride it this weekend on the BB200 although I know it's not a good idea. It'd be a good shakedown though

I don't know what's going on with my Evans order. A few pairs arrived but heard nothing on them on the remaining ones.

Also, ordered a new chain for the BB200 (and in plenty of time, amazingly)... it appears to have gone missing. Can't win.

I've found the wavy washer usually comes with the cranks, both my carbon X0s had the washer in the box. I use them with Hope BBs and an adaptor.

Bar tape 2x new tubes and still waiting on 2x new tyres for the lads road bike. He wanted to try a road bike and as it was a bit of a steal at £150 for a full carbon Ribble off a work colleague its worth a few new bits to tidy it up, personally I think it'll be sold on as he's more football than cycling/mtbing but you've gotta try eh

I thought as much but was hoping it was a case of replace a BB, then replace the bearer. Never mind, hopefully eBay won’t let me down!

Like many others, a pair of Five Tens have arrived. A pair of Freerider EPS mid-tops which now I'm thinking seem almost too nice for riding in the Winter! 🤣

New left brake lever, after I smashed the last one off the bike. Plus a new chain for both bikes; means I can now fit the Garbaruk cage and my 50t cassette for next weekend.

I recently purchased a Onewind modular shelter, so given the unseasonable weather I headed to the local park to have a play
The kit includes the shelter/sinylon footprint/bugnet shelter/pegs/guylines/and a handy tensioning magnet guyline thingy
It can be pitched with a ridgeline, but as you can see I used some extendable basha poles from Lomo that the post men also dropped off last week. :-bd
I think it's a really nifty bit of kit, and as you can see has quite few configurations, even though I'm definitely no Ray Mears! Even in the lower profile stealth mode seen in the middle pic it has loads of room to spread out.-I've also included a stock image of the bug tent as I didn't bring that with me-nor the guylines, hence the somewhat rudimentary tent configuration
As I said, I'm no Ray Mears!
