Oh, and pre-loved book "100 Great Science Fiction Short Short Stories" - many are only a page long. I'm really into short stories, it takes a lot of skill to make a point or relate a self-contained little tale in such a short space.

I thought the accepted wisdom was to put the newer tyre on the front, as a more worn tyre is more likely to fail, and you're better off having a rear tyre failure than a front.

then she acquires a 20yr old HP inkjet printer, ok it prints A3, but wants in availsble over the WiFi, like all else...
fleabay acquired a not to out of date genuine colour cartridge,and a HP USB printer server, to plug in the home network...
fingers crossed it will talk to each other tomorrow..
their printer works on but USB is a bit limiting where it is sited...

Came yesterday and delivered a Kinlin tL29 rim in 650b flavour. 30mm internally and only 1g off the advertised 505g. Looks a bit shall9w and boring and without any logo or markings, made me yearn a DT Swiss for double the price.

Today he brought some more of the lightest (laser I think) spokes Sapim do. Bit twisty to build as they're not suggested for off road use but tensile strength seemed good and plenty builders use em for mtb happily.

Hopefully tomorrow an 8L drybag so I should be sorted for next weeks (but one) ride God Willing

...Jones h bar bag from Bothy Bikes for the Geoff bars. Been waiting a while for them to come back into stock. Fits really well in the bar loop and very light, but zero frills and doesn't sit too nicely with my Exposure bracket on the front extension (or rear facing computer bracket mounted on the main bar). Hmm...always a compromise...

An ebay nearly new rear boost wheel. WTB i30 rim and formula hub, felt fairly weighty and confirmed at 1275g, so might look for something lighter long term, and not sure I really need 30mm at the back but hey ho...

Yeah I got some a couple of weeks ago from Joe, along with toohbrush, tablets, 650ml Ti mug etc. Very impressed. Good products, great service!

Also the Outdry Blitz jacket from Amazon - £66 and 6 day delivery from US apparently. It's light and packable - about the same as the light eVent jacket I use or Endura Humvee. The inside sleeves etc isn't rubbery (which was a worry. Sizing in a L is very similar to my Humvee XL, but with longer sleeves thankfully. The hood is big, but so's my head, especially with a helmet on. It's a bit crinkly, but hoping to get used to that. Breathability not tested, but for under £70, guaranteed waterproof is a winner I think.
