I bought some with twist on in- line clamp on ends like a drill chuck...
They saved loads of weight,,.... . they fell off!

A few "veloops" from Alpkit. Don't think they are on their website but I think these are some of the better bag attachment straps out there. Rubberised backing and very tidy. 2nd lot I've bought as seem to be slowly replacing the OE straps on a few items. £1.99 each and free delivery...I contacted AK customer services to see if they could sell these as "spares" and were happy to help on both occasions...

unless these straps double back on them selfs, I find I can't get tight enought. - what ever the velcro or reinforcement rubber /hypalon /pvc/ tpu or webbing

I find that's where these Alpkit ones score, they seem to be the right length to get good tension around most frame tubes and cinch tight with no spare "flappage"!

I've made my own a flat Ring, as usual,.
I use 2 in 1 tape (aka like velcro) but it sticks to itself,... but the other thing can't stick to it (a bonus ) I sew this tape on toa backing for durability so it's grippy & easily wipes clean.
but it doubles the weight of the straps...so not ultra light..
but dependable...

A bunch of brakepads, 2 helmets, gloves, shorts, 2 waterbottles & cage, freehubs, a 150 mm SON hub and fatbike fork and ... 2 fatbike tyres for winter use. Had ordered then about three months ago, but still a couple of month to go 'till I need them, so wasn't in a hurry to get them, thankfully.
Me happy. On the other hand our cat has shat on a blanket...

Ton, how do you rate the bag? I was trying to get a Jones bag for my Geoff bars, but Bothy Bikes weren't holding out much hope of getting restocked, so was looking at alternatives. Was considering an Alpkit Dropbear, so wondered how the Beerbabe bag compared? Was there much of a lead time?

Mate I had a Jones bag a while ago and it was a bit small
This I got spec Ed 12cm deep so it is a lot deeper and better than the Jones one. And a load cheaper too.

Got an Acepac tapered dry bag from here.
Wow its a big step up in quality and size from my old Alpkit one. Its huge and totally waterproof.

A couple more pairs of 100% Brisker gloves in preparation for the autumn. I already have two pairs that have been used and washed to the extent that they've faded from orange to a fetching shade of pink! This time I've opted grey and black colour scheme in the hope that they'll eventually fade to a more restrained hue.

Been looking for a 1 man tent with a large porch area outside the inner. Been using a 2 man XL tent but found it was too big and I didn't want to get changed/bring wet or muddy gear inside the tent with me.

Was from Amazon as part of their global shipping programme which worked really well, was £50 delivered, no fees and only took 10 days or so. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1

Size is good for me and my mat, it comes with all the pegs and guys and weighs 1.1kg. Have ordered an extending pole from Lomo for a tenner that should work well, though tying the top to another line or tree branch works too.

With a belated birthday pressie

A new Exped mat - my current one has a couple of burst internal welds so awkward to sleep on, let's just say I seek out left handed slopes The new one's a LW so a bit easier to sleep on as well - a pillow will sit on it rather than off the end. It's a Hyperlite not a Winterlite so no real change in weight or volume, just not quite as suitable for arctic climes.

Looks quite a bit like a Lunar Solo clone, though a few differences. It looks like the inner zips open right across the bottom, which is something I wish the Lunar Solo did so two people could use it as a tarp with bivvy bags, assuming you use a guy line at the front.
