Chlorine dioxide / vitamin C?

Has anyone tried adding vitamin C tablets to water that's been treated with Chlorine based products? I'm told it removes the 'swimming pool' taste but I haven't tried it myself ... as an aside, did you know Chlorine Dioxides primary use was to fight Anthrax

...and vitamin c powder is used to cut heroin :) Available at Boots but they might want a reason / address!

ClDiox is not that bad, esp the Lifesystems with the neuturlising drops. Worked for me in Nepal but I might get a Travel Tap in-line filter next time for less hassle

I find Nuun or High5 electrolyte tabs pretty much eliminate any taste from chlorine tabs.
