Try contacting Kerry at kLite & ask about his 2 or 3 hole adapters. I'm shore he'd be happy to post them to Cuba if you don't think they'll arrive in the uk from here in time.

Update on the communication from Madison (Genesis)

"Dear Dan
This is how they are meant to be, the ones by the brakes are at a different angle so there is clearance next to the brakes, a new fork will not help as the mounts will be in the same place. We have not had this issue with any of the other Longitude so I am unsure why you are having a problem. I would advise speaking to your local bike shop who may be able to advise with the bike in front of them as to how to resolve the issue."

So it seems that the people at Madison think we are a pair of idiots. Despite sending them further images as requested.
I'm posting up another image of the 'faulty' right hand fork for those of you who have a Longitude in your possession to do a comparison. I'd be really grateful if somebody would take a similar pic of their right hand fork so we could have something to compare this one to. We can't get to an 'expert' in our LBS until Friday, by which time we will be pushing the time limit to the max.

I can see what they're getting at. If the mounts on the disk side were the same as the non-disk side then they'd interfere with the brake mount.

Of course it begs the question - why not angle them both out the same as the disk side?

I can only assume they've been placed in such a way as to enable the carriage of something narrow like a water bottle rather than something much wider. Seems like a fundamental misunderstanding of what an Anything Cage is designed for.

8mm cable ties work a treat for attaching anything or bottle cages to forks.

There must surely be manufacturing / design drawings? Ask for those and then compare with what you've got. That would help show they weren't as intended.

These are solid. I've used them for my bottle cage for ~20,000 off road miles

I've used these cages on my forks and work very well.

Only one bolt in my troll forks and adapted two halfords bottle cage mounts to fit other two gorilla adapters

Use the cage with the alpkit thicker bags.

It was a bit of a saga, they wanted us to send the entire bike back at first. then Genesis sent another fork to a local bike shop, it's not new or perfect either but it works.
Did I mention we were going to CUBA, Cheeky Monkey? Two more sleeps. Come new year and I'll bombard you with pics and tales.

Wow, that sounds a right PITA from Genesis, especially as it looks, to all intents and purposes, like their F-up. Replaced with a secondhand one as well? Hope they give you a new one in due course. Sounds a bit p!ss poor IMO. Still, sooner you get gone the better
