Back to the Peak

Post by mikehowarth »

Here's another post from the southern section of the Peak 200, that I rode with Mr Whileoutriding at the backend of the summer:

My pleasure Ian.

Enjoyed riding the Peak 200, keen to have a crack at it before I head off again next year.

Great pics...I wish I could take half the shot you do (and remember to make the time to do so). The comment of the sodden bivvy bag sounds like a story all unto its own.

There's another newly upgraded bridleway just opened which needs to be included some how. I'm not sure whether to propose another tweak to the route or if an additional longer/tougher route would be the way to go...

Where are you heading off to?

Scattamah - oh yeah, in hindsight it was comical. I endured the wettest night I've spent in a bivvy bag, while Cass' tent leaked. On the return back to Parsley Hay I spotted a great stone building that would have been perfect. Less than 200m from where I slept

IanFitz - I'll keep my eyes peeled for updates ;-) In terms of my travel plans, still figuring it out, planning to leave May when my contract finishes and probably do 6-9 months away. Was thinking some of the classic bikepacking stuff in the states and then maybe down through Central America and possibly back to Colombia.
