However they only have my size in the black version which is £50, not £38, but it's still a pretty good price I think. They felt pretty well made considering.
Buy it on-line then ... they listed all sizes in blue yesterday. Obviously you'll pay postage but it'll end up less than £50.
Even online, selecting the size large disables the option for blue and ups the price to £50.

Aplogies, I'd assumed that because it was listed it was in stock. As you say, fifty quid is still a good price though.

I could always go for an XL, but I was under the impression a down jacket should be relatively snug fitting to avoid drafts etc.

All depends on if the waist, neck and sleeves cinch up to keep in the warm air. I have the Antifreeze in large and it is fine on me as I cinch up all the draft points, whereas I normally take a medium in other gear.

£29.

Decathlon X-Light.

-5°C and 10°C

440g, packs very small.

I have one and the Mrs now does as she liked mine so much, she now has one.

They can be difficult to get hold of as these seem to sell out whenever they have one.

It got me through the BBFF and the BB May ride as well as countless other events.
