Warwickshire Routes?

Post by FLV »

Morning all,

For a while i'm in warwickshire a couple of nights a week.

Does anybody know any decent off roading anywhere. Happy to be mixing b roads and trails, not really into slogging accross the edges of claggy fields all evening.

I guess I will generally be on a cross bike, though occasionally have my mtb with too.

I'm happy to have a bimble about on the B roads and the odd track or trail exploring but knowlege is power and all that

Based around ufton / harbury area. Sometimes with car, sometimes without.

Cheers.

Dave

This website might help:

http://countryparks.warwickshire.gov.uk/cycling/

The main routes are the Greenways - they are mainly old railway lines with a few B-roads.

Dave, I'll compile a reply tonight. I guess you are back at JLR? I am starting at Gaydon from Monday so might have a better chance of showing you around.

Hey Steve,

That would be appreciated thanks.

I'm not at JLR, I'm working for a place on the east edge of Cov but staying ufton / harbury a couple of nights a week as its quite nice over that way.

Any pointers much appreciated. :-bd

I'll jump into this as well. Can show you some decent riding around south Birmingham; Licky hills, Clent Hills etc. I ride round there on mtb and CX bikes... arguably more fun on the CX. :)

I would be up for some evening outings so give me a shout Steve. I'm looking to start riding regular again (after my knee problems) and some social rides would be great to get me back into the swing of it.
