Has anyone heard of this or done it?
Just bought a book covering the route as I like the idea of it - http://www.mtbepicsuk.co.uk/the-books/
Its 200 miles or so doing a big loop of London. I'm keen to have a look at the book but I reckon it probably goes close to where I live. I'm near a bit of the LOOP path

I'd heard of it but not got as far as buying the book. I'd like to see a gpx of the route.
I'm in Croydon so probably on the loop somewhere. Would be good to do as a 2-3 day trip. I'd imagine it to be relatively easy xc stuff.

The guy who wrote the book does a 4 day supported trip, but I'm guessing that would be fairly relaxed
3 days sounds good, plus it would be easy to bail out for whatever reason

Interesting! Been thinking about this recently. Be good to know what the riding's like and how much road there is.

If the book's similar to the north south divide one, then you'll need to spend a while plotting the route either on paper or on screen to generate a gpx file. The route instructions in the book are very much TL onto BW @ 987643, SA onto MR @ 459900, etc, etc.

I'll have the whole north south divide route mapped soon, if anyone is interested I'll post the gpx. So far I've got the first four sections from Aberystwyth to Woodhouseaves mapped which if the weather God's are kind in the second week of April the missus and I will be having a crack at !

Stuart, you're right
That's very much the sense I get from looking at the preview on Amazon
I have most of the maps to cover it, i'll probably need a few more though. I'll also need to create a gpx to stick on my gps
But it's a good start, and it might create a bit more impetus to do it!

I have got the book and I am in the process of creating a GPX file ready for a crack at the route in the summer.
Its a bit of a ball ache plotting the route from the grid references and directions in the book, 25% of the
route is complete and is currently on my "to do" list.
