Re: Adjustable tent pole
Why does it need to be adjustable? The Mini Peak is pretty much up or it's down

Re: Adjustable tent pole
I need one of these for my shelter, came up on another thread here
Current approach is using walking poles as I only use it with the dog and therefore when in walking. 2 walking poles, on piece of paracord and some velcro
Not used it when bikepacking yet

Re: Adjustable tent pole
I've just realised my post wasn't much help, so If you do want it to be adjustable MSR do one but it weighs about 350g.

Re: Adjustable tent pole
Cheers s8tannorm,I've seen the Msr one,the guys at backpacking light ,
Recommend an adjustable one,so that's what I thought I needed...maybe not
I've read that it needs to be in the 135/138 cm range but others say 140.
Is there anything you do that would be suitable, I assume it would need to
Be quite substantial ? How much would I be looking at ?

Re: Adjustable tent pole
Sorry, also, the Msr one is 49cm folded,so a bit too long to fit on the bike.

Re: Adjustable tent pole
I'd suggest 140cm too.
A 12mm carbon pole should do the trick, in 4 sections it would be 38cm folded and cost £30.
