Salsa cages and suspension forks

Hi all,

Can I attach salsa anything cages to a fox fork (float 130) using these:

I'm looking at options for my bikepack-enabling my Spesh Stumpy FSR

Yes and no Dan ... Anything cages have a 3 bolt mount and it's worth using all 3. I'd use the mounts from Decathlon, cut each one in half and use 3 'bits' per cage ... they'll hold fine.

3 hose clamps?

Im going to fit a pair of cages to my Salsa Vaya, there is only a single bolt so Im going to use a hose clamp (as recommended by Salsa) to secure the lower portion of the cage. Hopefully this will work, I intend to limit the weight in these cages to <1Kg.

Cheers for the info. For what they are the cages seem fairly pricey...anyone attempted a MYOG version?

They are quite nice and light though, and I think Triton are doing them at £16 each which isn't bad really considering you get the (a bit too short) straps too.

Fixed it for you. I threw the originals away and now use some of these:

Which then needed cutting down due to being too long...

Other than that, the cages are great and have the added benefit of stopping your front wheel sinking into the mud too far when you are off course on the bb200...

what bags are you guys running with these?

5L? Looking alpkit Airloks so I will probably get a pair of them.

Are they a little big in the cages at 5L?

I wouldn't mind going a little smaller, what do you think?

Think the ones I tend to use are something like 5L (old type AlpKit ones) or maybe a touch bigger (I often use them as a steering lock limiter ) I did try the lighter weight AlpKit dry bags but wore holes in them on the first ride ... something a bit thicker works better for me.
