Thanks to Stu & Dee for the cake, toast & tea. Nice to meet a few more faces (although we didn't see many others once we were out in the hills or cafes). I proved that I can do a winter bivi in atrocious weather without a bivi bag  and also I brought my kids back two great presents from Wales. My son got a custom Bearbones Xbox cleaning cloth (for wiping spilt energy drink off of games cases, controllers, etc). And my daughter got a special set of teddy bear, scented dice style nunchakus (which I later advised her to remove from her teddy and hang off her curtain rail after reading the COSHH advice on the packet).

After being told i should make more effort to load some photos - here are a few, taken on a new phone that i hadn't got the foggiest idea of how to use so forgive the quality!

One of the first fords of the weekend
Image

The boys wrestling with waterproofs and swigging jagermeister . . . it warms you up in the snow apparently . . .
Image

Matt's inner magpie was kept amused for hours when someone put a shiny thing on his head . . .
Image

Old ravers corner . . .complete with waterproof cyberdog space boots (not really from cyberdog ask Jason if you want to know which fetish shop he found them in  )
Image

Scott and The Winter Bivi spot (other winter bivi spots are available)
Image

Extremist bikepacking

Another cracking weekend in Mid wales, thanks Stu and Dee for organising and for all the tea, cake and toast. Thanks to Chew and Kevin for the company, and special thanks to the working party at Nant Syddion who let us stay whilst they conducted their essential maintenance work
