Am considering bringing my fatty for the Ford Fiesta, anyone else considering it?

Your Fatty is Paul's old Mukluk isn't it? He rode that at El-an Back. It was the first fatty I'd seen in the wild.

My last minute entry was based on a begging request as it would be "training".Ian wrote:Me toojohnnystorm wrote:I am

You might just get to glimpse it again as it's now looking even more likely I'll be bringing it (as it'll mean i can avoid a brake service on the 29er).
So that's 3 of us so far.
Any more....?

Pretty sure Paul E will be there on his fat bike too.

Im on my pugs, and I imagine if Jeff has entered he will be on his salsa also!
Re: FFF (Ford Fiesta on a Fatty)?
I'm taking my mukluk for its first bivvy experience. Used the CDF for the WRT with the lad and missus so looking forward to seeing what the diffrence is s going to be like.

Damn, wish I thought of that plan! Oh well, January trips are always a write-off for me with family birthdays and my anniversary to contend withjohnnystorm wrote:My last minute entry was based on a begging request as it would be "training".Ian wrote:Me toojohnnystorm wrote:I am

Judging by the lack of training and the number or mince pies that seem to be disappearing around me - the only fatty I'll be bringing is me - just hope my bike is strong enough

Looks like a mid week work trip is going to stop me building up the new bike in time for the fiesta :(
Alternate plan now is to stay at home, build fat bike and go out for a bivi up at Kielder (found an interesting option).
Will be looking for some northerners to join me on alternate bivi trip and annoyed yet again circumstance means I miss another of Stu's events.

I've hit a snag.....
It's not the sinusitis that's currently kicking my ass that's the problem (I'm working on the assumption that that'll bugger off soon) but more that having dragged my fatty all the way back just for the FF I've just taken a look at my trusty old Cotic 'Soul' and realised that I bloody love it!!!
I'm thinking of selling it and this could be it's last outing.
Bike choice dilemma - what should I do?

Fatty. You'll only crash the soul and render it worthless. As a 26" bike you need to be shot of it before the spares dry up.gairym wrote:I've hit a snag.....

I feel like I've let the team down but I'm now bringing my 'thinbike'.
Circumstances have meant that everything I had planned for this weekend is now changed.
My route, bike and even mode of transport to/from Wales have all changed.
I hope those fat-inclined aren't angry at the betrayal.
Yours sheepishly, Gairy.
