I got a rather groovy yellow and black 1/8" one for the shopper. Can't remember what it is but I do know it came from On One and seems quite good ... considering it's yellow and black

When I discovered that they'd stopped making PC7X chains, I bought the last ones I could find online. I have four on the shelf that should keep for going for the next few years. Doesn't help your situation, mind :geek:

I swear by the Yaban 1/8" chain, Chinese utility chain, no frills but is as strong as you like. Should cost no more than a 10er and I have yet to break one! I believe that Yaban make chain for most of the big brands anyway.
Other than that the KMC Rustbuster is pretty good. Nice and strong and has some groovy coating on to stop corrosion!

I swear by KMC chains and I know they have a few singlespeed versions.

The SRAM PC7X was the only decent chain that they made! All 9, 10 and now 11 speed versions are snap happy.

Single speed chain = cheapest chain

I've never had an issue with that approach?
