Depends where your heading to?
The Penrhos Arms on the A470 and the Black Lion in Talybont are both quite decent
The landlord let me, yetiman and bro Smith camp in his bee garden a few years back after we explained about leaving his pub early to find a bivi spot! More beer was consumed as a wee thank you to the kind man
Local knowledge please.
Is the BP fuel station premier store still open for food at Ponterwyd?
I remember it from a WRT and it's on Google Earth but it doesn't show up on the Premier Stores website?

Cheers Stuart
My first draft without look at anyone else's ideas is
Day 1
Distance: 58.5 miles
Climbing: 7,462 feet
Stop on a bothy
Day 2
Distance: 44.5 miles
Climbing: 4,825 feet
All but 4 points ridden past and more tarmac than I'd like, but it is January and I think it avoids the tussocks.

Over to you Ian
Cheers. Will take a look at that at the weekend then.

I've mapped out the coordinates and just trying to figure out a route ,any hints or tips??
anyone want to team up and show a newbie how to survive The Fiesta??
Can we have a double count just below Darowen? There are 2 fords marked on the map!
Update:
Thanks to @MattPage I've been looking up the grid references with http://wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm much the easiest way to translate a GR onto an OS map and Google Satellite image that I've seen so far. Turns out quite a few of the GR's are doubles or even a triple.
Now I'm wondering which is the deepest/widest. Looks like the first listed for the Explorer 213 map to me.
