Ti mugs ... all created equal?

Looking for a new Ti mug, usual sort of thing, 450ml, folding handles, etc.

If I had deep pockets I'd get a double walled Snow Peak from the States but that won't be happening Are there any differences between all the mugs avaliable? If you look at pics and specs it would be easy to believe they're all the same mug, just rebranded ... although prices seem to vary from £13 to £20 between brands.

Any thoughts?

Apparently double wall mugs can't be cooked with.

I would like the ability to cook with it ... so flatfishy's point is a very good one.

I was quite happy with my insulated plastic mug until I broke it, so figure a ti mug should be a little more robust and double up as cookware.

I've got a lifeventure one and it's much the same as all the other offerings I guess. Alpkit one is cheap.

That was my thinking Dan, I really can't see any difference between them all ... although the coloured Snow Peak ones are very pretty and appeal to my inner tart

Actually it says snow peak but you could go the deed poll route if you wanted.

S+R just have the best selection of SP stuff in the UK. Taunton Lesuire have a few mugs but nothing else. I actually only wanted the 300ml versions but snow and rock had 30% off the 450s bringing them down to around £16. Plain silver for us though!

Taunton Leisure do do a bit more Snow Peak than just mugs. I recall they list the 1400ml set, 900ml set, Mini solo, plate, bowl and a 4 pan set.

Mont-Bell make a excellent Ti mug, bigger than your average mug but smaller than a 'kettle', I would also look at this one from Backpacking Light here
