I'm after a bit of advice: I'm considering trying drop bars on my 29er, but am not quite sure of the implications for the drivetrain.
Ideally, I'd like to run road sti style shifters. Will the STI shifters work with a 10 speed XT rear mech and a front XT mech?
Currently running 2x10 and would like to continue to do so if it'll work ok. I thought I'd read somewhere that the pull ratios on shimano mtn/road stuff was different?
Thanks in advance
Mark

Road and MTB 10 speed stuff have different pull ratios.
9 speed stuff is all compatible though.
I use 10 speed road shifters with a 9sp XT mech.

The only integrated shifters you'll get for running MTB 10spd with drop bars are these from Gevenalle http://www.gevenalle.com/store/products/shifters/
