What is wrong with these people FFS ... I didn't see one tussock, not a single one, everyone was smiling and no one appeared to be suffering from even mild hypothermia

Thanks, I was part way through reverse-engineering it with BikeHike 
EDIT: This does appear to highlight how well mapped the hill tracks are in that part of the world on OSM...

Reading up on this I could be quite interested in going over.
Logistics look easy flying from Manchester to Pisa, and then hopefully its an easy train ride to the start/end.
