Hi
Ok so just for a minute, entertain the notion that I know absolutely nothing about GPS devices.
Oh and nothing at all about GPX files and tracks and routes. I know, imagine?
Where would you point a complete novice such as myself? Is there somewhere here on the internet
that could supply me with the relevant information in a succinct and easily digestible form?
I have a short attention span and am easily bewildered.

Re: GPS for Dummies
I found it quite hard to begin with. Youtube videos I found were best as you could see what was being typed/clicked etc. GPS manufacturers could/should learn a lot from the popular smartphone OS as their UI is frequently horrible in comparison.

Re: GPS for Dummies
Having someone who had the same model run through the basics, was a big help to me ... what's this do?, what happens if I press that?, etc.
I also found the Dakota much more intuitive than the eTrex but that might just be me
