This has been an epic ride full of adventure and fun. Weather can be bitterly cold a t night in September, scorching during the day. We are in Cascade having a rest day, we should be back in Boise in three.
For anyone considering a Great Divide light ride taster, this is the loop.

Re: Idaho Hot Springs loop.
Been waiting for this report, as I've just got back from Ketchum in Idaho mtbing. Iv realised now having been out in Idaho that the terrain is amazing and I really want to go back. Iv got nearly all of sept off next yr and am considering going back with the hardtail to do this route. The weather is fantastic and this trail looks so good. Another one to consider is the smoke n fire route that has now become a race/ride starting in boise. Got chatting to some guys who were riding it over five days and it to sounds great. However I'm also still up for the Morocco trip if it comes off next yr as it's more fun riding in company of others. Thanks for the write up
Re: Idaho Hot Springs loop.
I have a sneaking suspicion Casey Greene the guy who mapped the route may well do something with fire towers in Montana next door. That would be an amazing combination.
