Long and thin dry bag
I'm after a lightweight long and thin drybag for a front harness.
Revelate used to sell one before the salty roll which was thinner, thermarest used to do a 12l one -

Which would have been perfect but nobody stocks them anymore - shame.
ewe wetsuits do something good but it's really heavyweight material which defeats the point really if I'm stuffing it with ultralight kit.
Anybody know of anything similar about 16cm diameter x 40ish cm long.
Custom?? If not but who, might not even have to be waterproof as everything in it will be in pod drybags

Sean at ookworks will be able to something custom if you cant find one of t'internet shelf. Im waiting for the right moment to mention to my wife that I will be asking him to do me a custom bathtub groundsheet ... never seems to be a right moment lately though.

Think you need to check outdoorsmagic forum about Oookworks. Some people have been waiting 18 months for kit despite paying in full upfront!!!

Outdoor Research do something close in a 10 litre size, but they're like hen's teeth.
Zpacks do custom Cuben in any size you like, if you want money no object lightweight.

If you can't find a bag the right size, how about something the right size that comes in a bag?
There's all sorts of damaged and incomplete tents going for less than the cost of a stuff sack on ebay.
Something like this for £3 maybe?

Good luck with that! I have been waiting 20 months for a custom Nano inner and he is terrible at responding to email once order placed. His work is good (I have a 2nd hand Oooknest) but I would go with MLD or Bearpaw Wilderness Designs; cheaper and less hassle even if you do factor in customs.TheBrownDog wrote:Sean at ookworks will be able to something custom if you cant find one of t'internet shelf. Grk. If he's paying attention to his customer base he'll be along shortly with an explanation. 20 months waiting for something. Man that's almost a million years! Time to chase for a refund from whatever bank you made the payment through.*polarcherry wrote:Think you need to check outdoorsmagic forum about Oookworks. * I have no idea how to do this

I once read lots of Sean's site / blog. At times it doesn't seem a happy tale (the black dog of depression etc). Not making excuses, just mentioning.
He was pretty quick to respond to me the couple of times I got in touch but still not ordered anything.

I read that too which is why I have tried not to pester him. If he corresponded and gave me a date which he stuck to (even if it was another 6 months) I would be happy. Its the constant promises and missed deadlines that bug. After 4 of them last one being April 14 (I placed order Feb 13) I am starting to loose the faith. I just think he may be a bit head in the sand on the stuff his behind on. Not a great way to run your business.Cheeky Monkey wrote:I once read lots of Sean's site / blog.
